Christof Augenstein new Chairman of the Standing Committee UP/ UPC (AIPPI)
We are delighted to announce that Christof Augenstein was appointed the new Chair of the Standing Committee Unified Patent/Unified Patent Court (UP/UPC) at the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI). Previously, he was Vice Chair of that committee of the leading international organization for the development of Intellectual Property Laws.
AIPPI is a politically neutral, non-profit organization based in Switzerland with over 9,000 members from more than 125 countries. In addition to Christof Augenstein, the Swiss Thierry Calame, the British Annsley Ward and the Dutch Mark van Gardingen make up the board. The 28 members strong committee is committed at international level to the planned Unified Patent and the Unified Patent Court.
In his new position, he will work closely with his colleagues to overcome the existing challenges together. “It is important for me to continue to promote mutual coordination and cooperation and to pull together. I am looking forward to the new task,” says Augenstein.
We are delighted that our former Managing Partner Christof Augenstein will be able to advance AIPPI in this special honorary position. Congratulations!
