Great news: Kather Augenstein praised by “IAM Patent 1000”
“IAM Patent 1000“, the renowned patent media, praises our firm in the publication of the full edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2019 – a guide that identifies the best patent experts around the world:
“Kather Augenstein is a name taken seriously in German IP circles. The young litigation boutique has notched up an impressive list of wins in a short time and is being talked about as one of the elite destinations for heavyweight patent litigants. Name partners Peter Kather and Christof Augenstein are the first ports of call for prospective clients. Technically adroit litigator Kather was described by one participant in our research as “a personal hero and one of the most admired people active today in intellectual property” – a sentiment roundly echoed by the rest of the market. “So friendly, never aggressive – a true colleague in every sense of the word, whose pleading can make all the difference.” “He’s quiet, friendly and excellent.” “His knowledge in a number of fields is unusually specific; he’s an esteemed opponent in high-end cases.” Augenstein is also described as “excellent”, with clients especially keen to instruct him in complex mechanical patent infringement cases of all hues. Co-founding partner Miriam Kiefer adds another dimension to the firm – her passion for medical technology patents and excellent advocacy have not gone unnoticed. “Although she isn’t loud or flashy in court, she is calm, analytical and has a lot to offer strategically.” (IAM Patent 1000, 2019)
Our law firm is delighted with this award and sees it as an incentive for future success.
We are delighted to announce that Christof Augenstein was appointed the new Chair of the Standing Committee Unified Patent/Unified Patent Court (UP/UPC) at the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI).
After we published a critical comment on a possible delay of the Federal Government in the implementation of the ratification law for the UPC on our blog, the Kluwer Patent Blog published an interview on this topic with our partner Dr. Christof Augenstein today.
Our Managing Partner Miriam Kiefer LL.M. is a new member of the board of women in ip. What began in 2011 as a platform for women in intellectual property quickly developed into an international non-profit platform that was registered as a non-profit association in 2014.
Our partners Dr. Peter Kather and Dr. Christof Augenstein are pleased to explain once again the details of the patent infringement trial this year. The VPP seminar "The infringement trial" will take place from 19-21 September 2019 at the Maritim Hotel in Ulm.
