Since being admitted to the bar in 2020 Dr. Benedikt Walesch advises national and international companies of various industries in in all areas of intellectual property law.

As part of his studies at Heinrich-Heine-University of Duesseldorf, he completed the accompanying degree program “Anglo-American Law”. In addition, he specialised in “Companies and Markets” and gained experience in business law as well as in various areas of IP law already at an early stage.

Following his studies, Dr. Benedikt Walesch completed his doctorate in the field of antitrust law, inter alia, on the question of Determining the Market Conditions of Intermediaries in the electronic Distribution of Goods.

After finishing his dissertation project with summa cum laude, Dr. Benedikt Walesch worked as part of his legal clerkship at the European Commission (DG Competition), an international corporate law firm in Duesseldorf and in the legal department of a DAX company.

Parallel to his studies and while completing his doctorate, he worked at the Chair of Professor Dr. Jan Busche for Civil Law and Intellectual Property Law, where he was, among other things, a research associate and teaching assistant.
